error code 1335

How do I resolve error code 1335 ? App downloads and MS updates will not down load. "cabinet file package error" PCW_CAB_RDR
My OS is Win 10 original install, not upgrade, from HP. CPU tower not laptop. Continuing problem.

Which build of Windows 10 are you currently running on the computer?
IF 10240 then your best bet might be to consider installing 1511 (10586)
Please backup your system before proceeding....

Once you have the ISO, you can use ImgBurn to burn it to a DVD or Rufus to burn it to a USB ThumbDrive, either of which you can use to perform the in-place upgrade by double clicking setup.exe from the installation media....

You can double click the ISO from within your current Windows 10 install and mount it and run setup.exe from the virtual drive.

My preferred backup solution, if you're asking is and has been for many years Acronis True Image, however.....
many, many people recommend Macrium Reflect which is a free option and enjoys a fair amount of poplularity.

1511 the Nov update still will not download according to windows update "will be installed when available" or some such language.

That wouldn't be an option, as such, but.....
I think the goal is to upgrade your current version of Windows 10 build 10240 to the newer version of Windows 10 build 10586, which....

You should probably first confirm which build you have installed.
IF you right click the start button and choose run and in the run dialog box type
winver
hit enter or click OK
you should see something like this.....

Your particular Version / OS Build number is what you need to determine before you attempt any further action, except....
Backing up all your critical data and or creating a disk image, which are always good to have on hand regardless.
