I receive error code0xc00d36e5 when trying to play one particular .mov file in movie maker and various other programs. I also see unsupported file type. All other .mov files play. Can this be fixed and how?

All other .mov files play.
Given those two statements, I would suspect a problem (possible corruption) with the problem file.
You may need to investigate some third party program to see if you can possibly repair it.
Google (or Bing) "repair corrupt .mov file"
and various other programs
I assume you've tried
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
AND
https://potplayer.daum.net/
IF neither of those will play it, then it is likely going to need to be repaired.
