Hidden Files

Good evening yall, I have a quick question about folders..

I am having trouble bringing up a program with the open with selection.. It isn't showing up, and my PC seems to have files going hidden all the time.. could this be a virus? Somehow I think it is being remotely controlled..

You should not have problems viewing a straightforward program (.exe?) But, have you opened the hidden files?

In File explorer:
Select "View" from the top menu.
Select "Options from the far left.
Select the drop down "Change folder and search options"
Select the "View" tab. There you will see several items that can be "unhidden"
