On one of my computers I am frequently getting redirected to Alpha shopper when searching and to a nasty homepage with a message that i need to enter my credentials and a nasty speakersound when I am clicking on picture or a next button. Only way to get reed of this is to use the list of active apps and close edge here.

Until now i have tried to reset edge. But it did not help. I tried this : https://www.howtogeek.com/237527/how-to-reset-microsoft-edge-in-windows-10/

Hi jorn,

is your anti virus app switched on and is it running?, what AV app are you using?.

You can download Malwarebytes and use the free version to remove it if you haven't tried running your installed AV app!!:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ :):):):)

Thank you so much for tis url. I am using bitdefender as virus protection, and iam pleased with it, but no viruscanner solve everything be it Windows defender, chili internet security or this mailwarebytes. bUt for now 13 malware have be removed. So again thank you for the url.

The idea here was that you cannot be the first to experience redirect. Type in redirected to alpha shopper in the search engine of your choice and see how many options are offered.
