now im using 10240 build version...

If i update 10525 manually.. all programs will deleted?

No. This will be an install via your Windows Update.

possibly should be the actual answer .. yes - for me it as with the original install did leave ALL my programs intact ..
.. everything is there .. but it did cause one problem for me in that now I can not start SPSS (v15 - older) .. somewhere
something thinks its a server version .. and is asking for logons that I have no answer for and should not be occurring ... but not the end of the world for me - I have alternatives on other laptops where this did not happen
