IE11 gives a tick box option to "preserve favourite website data" when deleting browsing data.
Is there a similar feature in Chrome so that log in data is preserved for specific URLs.

Yes. Go in the settings menu, scroll to the bottom and click advanced. Under "Privacy and security" click "Clear browsing data". Uncheck "Cookies and other site data".

Thanks Big Feet for the input.
However I think that approach will preserve ALL cookies and site data.
What I'm looking to do is preserve data for just specific named sites which I name.
Internet Explorer has such a feature but I can't find it in Chrome.

So What you can do : mark your sites as Bookmarks (Ctrl + D), then you can export your Bookmarks.
You can also check for extensions; may be you will find one that fit exactly this need.
