I am new to Win10.
Above problem occurs when attempting "power down".
Goes off then restarts several minutes later.
I guess that this is to facilitate auto updates.
BUT, I cannot see what ?
Update log is showing no activity.
Any info would be welcome.

Generally these types of issues are related to your power configuration options.
You'll need to take a serious look into the advance power plan options to confirm
1. That your computer is actually shutting down completely and not entering some type of energy saving state.
2. Under the "Sleep" options you may want to disable "Allow wake timers" to see if that helps.

I have not found any advanced power options which alter this problem.
"Allow wake timers" ?
Have not found this prob on any FAQ sites
Don't even know whether it is Lenovo or Win 10
Does anyone else have this problem?

Right click the Start Button and choose Command Prompt (Admin) and in the command prompt window type
shutdown /s /t 00
hit enter.
Does it "restart several minutes later"?

I will tell you in "several " minutes.
While I am waiting, can I ask another novice question?
When I hold the power button down, I get a normal shutdown with no disk check on restart. Is this normal and where would I re-set? (still restarts several minutes later.)

PS. So far so good :>)

The physical power button can be set to
Do nothing
Sleep
Hibernate
Shut down
Turn off the display.

However holding it down for an extended period, may over-ride the setting, in which case you would likely see something in event viewer regarding an improper shutdown.

Do not seem have your "Power Options" tab or access to advanced settings.
However, PC did not restart after your command.
Will keep you informed
Thanks for you interest.

After changing some shutdown settings, (which should have made no difference?), the PC is staying off.
I installed an icon on the desktop, with your shutdown command, but I now can shutdown finally, normally.
Thanks again for you interest.
