links disabled ??

Help! Suddenly, windows refuses to transfer me using any link from sites or mails. What happened? How do I correct this? Links are so useful; I need them.

One diagnostic I use is to simply Copy the link then open a new tab, usually to my Search engine, paste it in and go there. Or open a different browser and paste the URL in, see if that works. And it may not be Windows but your anti-virus/anti-malware program blocking things.

Thanks for your suggestion. I disabled and/or uninstalled everything, and the link problem continued…...until I entered through another server. The problem must be with my connection on Google Chrome, because everything works fine with Microsoft Edge and Firefox.
So… any suggestions for how I get Chrome to unlock the link problem? Appreciate your help!
