Motherboard for HP P6-2203a desktop.

My Motherboard is broken, so I looked on fleabay for a replacement motherboard ''Pavilion MSI MS-7778'' but none were available. Can I use some other MB that will fit my HP case and allow my AMD-A8-5500 CPU to plug into it? I don't do gaming, I just surf the web, as they say! I'm as ignorant as you can get about this stuff, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

HP is pretty proprietary with their motherboards, so probably not. As far as I know, the Omen line of HP is the only one that uses over the counter motherboards. My Pavilion Gaming PC won't fit a normal size motherboard.
