When turning on Windows 10 my pointer will not show up for the password phase of startup. If I do get to the desktop, the pointer is either gone or it is frozen. I shut the computer down and after several startups, it will come back on maybe for a few minutes. This is driving me crazy. I have checked the device manager for the mouse. Looked for updated versions. Ran a troubleshooting for it. Nothing says it is wrong. This has only happened with the upgrade to Windows 10. It used to be every so often, now it is daily. Please help.

Have you tried a different mouse? I use a wireless mouse and found that it takes a minute or so after startup for the mouse to work. A hard wired mouse may be quicker?
