No sound after update?

Hello,
I am a newbie, please have patience. lol
After installing recent updates 12/10/15 I have no sound???

I checked my monitor and all is fine. I checked drivers and they are all up to date?

I am a grandma but I am computer literate.

Can anyone please help me with my sound problem? or offer any advice?

Hello, welcome to the forum. Quite often the Device Manager shows a device is ok but it is not. The solution is often to disable/remove it and restart. It will usually be restored automatically and be working fine at that point.

 

[Trouble]

If that doesn't solve the problem then we need to know a bit more about your system.
Specifically, but not limited to, the sound card you are using.
See if you can follow this sequence......
