SOLVED Not an Administrator

My laptop doesn't recognize me as administrator. I checked user account and I'm listed as administrator. What can I do so it recognizes me as the administrator?

What happens when you click the start button and simply type
cmd
AND
When "Command Prompt" appears at the top of the list, you right click it and choose "Run as Administrator" from the context menu??

You're welcome.
There are a few things you'll likely find that are going to require the "Run as Administrator".
I'll very often just right click and choose it from the context menu rather than finding out after the fact that I needed to do so.
