SOLVED PC stuck on Windows boot logo from any media.

My PC refuses to go beyond the Windows logo at boot. The strange things is it does that even if I boot from a USB installation disk.
I'm stuck on an infinite l hamster wheel spin.

OK, that BSOD that I finally noticed after sitting for long minutes in front of the screen came in handy. After a quick Google search I changed SATA mode to IDE in bios. Not sure I'm off the hook yet but it's a progress. I'm committed to a clean install I hope all will be well.
