Photos app white screen when double-clicking on files, and can't access app settings

When I double click on any JPG to view it in the MS Photos app I just get a blank (white) screen. I also get a blank screen if I try to access the settings for the app, to repair it. Any idea how I can fix it?
I'm running Windows 10 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1706)
