"Please Wait" window

I'm trying to get in the cue to download a Win 10 upgrade - I click on the windows icon in the task bar and up comes a window that says: "Please Wait." But nothing else ever happens. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running Win 8.1 64-bit on an Alienware laptop.
