SOLVED Preview Build 18362

I dragged my laptop out and reentered the insider program just enough to get the 1903 release. Failed. So I ran Dsim and sfc. Sfc actually found some unhappy files and fixed them. Tried the release gain and it worked fine. For some reason, after a release, my laptop always wants a second reboot for Conextant audio and then the old MS solitaire games reloaded ( I keep them on Onedrive). One last try at Windows update just to see and Lo and Behold a security update for 1903 which downloaded and installed fine.

Only thing is, apart from the start menu I can't find any significant difference from an uptodate 1809.

I hope this bodes well for May 10. On that day I'll do a full Macrium backup in the morning and then unplug the USB drive. Just in case they have not fixed that problem yet.

I don't know if this information is particularly pertinent but I thought I would pass it along.

NOTE: Windows Insiders on Build 18362.53 who were unable to update to Build 18875 will need to install Build 18362.86 (KB4497093) *FIRST* before being able to receive today’s build. Build 18362.86 includes the fix needed to update to the latest 20H1 builds from Build 18362.53. If you’re already on Build 18875, this build should come through normally.
