SOLVED RE system type

Dell Inspiron 1420, 32-bit, 2 GB RAM

OK, I am confused.
My system properties page shows this.......

My system information page shows this .....

If I have a 64-based processor, I can clean install a 64-bit OS on it.
Question is : which one do I have ?

True enough. It looks like you do have a 64bit capable processor.
Although, with only 2 gigs of RAM present in the system, I'm not sure there is much advantage to installing the 64 bit version unless you are planning a memory upgrade and the system board supports more than 2 gigs.

Yes. 2 GB Ram is hardly enough.
I asked the question just because the 2 pages do not show the same system type and I got confused.

64 bit = X64
