Reinstall MS Office on new laptop

Had to buy a new Laptop, a Dell Inspiron 7706. Had MS Office Home and Student 2016 on the old one. When I start the download the progress bar only goes so far then stops, there are no error messages, or messages of any kind. how can I install it on the new laptop?

you may have to go to the source you bought your computer from. Most student MS software is a install one time on one device , They will need to get involved to make it possible to transfer the software to another device. That could be your issue you are having.
