Search bar

earlier this evening i saw that my seachbox or bar in lower right on task bar not working . i can not type in it or if i do type and look for default aps that does not come up in the search box all i get is suggested and if i try to tpe anything like if i wnant to type default aps it does not show up in the search box or ot takes me to edge
