Hi all, I don't really know how to explain this but I will give it a try :)
Previously on Windows 7, if I was searching on google and after numerous clicks on various sites I wanted to return to my original page, all I had to do was click on the back arrow holding the button and previous pages would be there allowing me to skip to wherever I wanted to go, on Windows 10 I now have to click back and back and back several times until the page I want to return to appears.
How can I get back to the list view appearing so that I don't have to keep clicking the back arrow to get where I want to be??????
Please help it is driving me mad.
Thank you
Sparker

Hi Sparker,

Welcome to the Forum.

You're referring to Search / Visited Page History.

In Google's Chrome browser if you want to review a list of previously visited pages and return to one of them:
  • left-click on the Back arrow and hold mouse button down a second till the menu appears
  • likewise, you can do the same with the forward arrow if you wish to go forwards in history.

For Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer and Edge simply right-click on back arrow to open menu displaying previously visited pages, then left-click on the one you wish to go back to.

Hi Regedit,

Thank you for the welcome and the reply :) although it still doesn't work, in fact what you are instructing is how I used to do it before I installed Windows 10, then it worked.

I'm using Google not Google Chrome does that make a difference?

Kind regards

Are you using Google Search Address/Tool bar?

Have you tried pressing the backspace key on keyboard?

Or alt + < keys to go back and alt + > keys to go foreward
