All computers running Windows 10

I chat with my son overseas using Skype.
He just bought a new HP computer and he has a smart phone.
He can call me from either device.
When I call him, only the phone responds. His new desk top computer cannot answer my call, even if he turns the phone off.
I haven't a clue as to why this is happening.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for reading.

Thanks for answering.
I can answer the second question- Yes I am added to his contacts.
I am trying to find out if he has more than one account. My son is not very computer literate and has a bit of trouble checking things out.
I will try to get an answer soon.
If he does have two accounts with Skype, would that be the answer to the mystery?

Yes!, that is why I asked, it might also rely on what version of Skype he has and where you both got your versions from, the Windows App Store or a direct download?. ;)

He, or you, may need to put some credit in the account. Depends where you both are. Quite a few countries charge a little, even for skype.

@ Wolfie - Thanks for the suggestion. Okay I sent that information to him and will see what he has to say.

@ davehc - Not the problem. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry for the long delay in answering. Blame it on that damn Corona-virus.
It appears the double account situation was the cause of the problem.
I mark this one as another solved by the great people in this forum.
