Stop Code....Bad System Config Info

Dell Inspiron N7010 running Windows 10 (64 bit).
Was told by a program that I needed Adobe Flashplayer, so I went to Adobe and started the download. At the same time, Adobe started downloading McAffee Virus Software and I couldn't stop it. At the end of the download, I had to restart my laptop and a blue screen came up with the notation that an error had occurred, Stopcode....Bad System Config Info. This has been a continuing cycle. Can anybody help me get my old computer back. I am using my wife's computer and getting dirty looks.
