Surface Pro 3 - external scree issue

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Win 10 and ever since I cannot get the external screen to detect on VGA.
It works on HDMI however the screen sizing is off and cannot be set manually.

I have just had a nice MS Tech controlling my PC for 2 hours, and he couldn't get the VGA to work or HDMI to re-size so he suggested I post here. Anyone else got similar issues ?
