That particular error often is driver related, but can be caused by hardware or software installations.

Often its an issue with the Graphic chip or card and its support driver which creates a scenario where the graphic card cannot recover in time for next high demand process. You'll see that when trying to use programs like Adobe Illustrator, or playing games where demand on the card or chip is at its highest.

Your best bet would be to right-click on Start and select Device Manager as its quite likely the hardware needing a driver update currently has a yellow triangle next to it.

Failing that perhaps a BIOS update is needed, but as bassfisher6522 noted, we do need some more information from you to be able to establish this.
