Trouble With Watching Dual Displays Since Downloading "10"

I was using windows 7 and for 2 years was using my laptop to watch Netflix i.e. on my Smart TV. I have the correct cable and switch connections. Simply go from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 and vice versa to toggle between. As soon as I downloaded Windows 10 this no longer works. I tried every possible fix including control panel/change appearance of displays and each possible combo there.
Please help I'm partially blind and can't easily see my laptop screen even to type this message

Hi Barry. I think, off the top of my head, that your computer may not be compatible with Windows 10?

Could you post what make and model it is.
