Hello,

Trying to get a head start with this.

New HP All In One coming. W10.
Has a built in DVD player, apparently.

Will this play "all" DVD's, CD's etc. ? ?

Was wondering if I need VLC Media Player which I've
heard so much about.

What exactly will it do ? Do I need it ? (or something else, similar ?)

Thanks,
R.

1. That means it has an ODD [Optical Disc Drive] which can 'play' CDs and DVDs. 'Play' means the ability to read what is on the disc/s.

2 & 3. VLC is a good program to install, plays many media formats. Win10 left out the ability to play commercial movies on DVD but there may be something similar in the Store [haven't had a need to check].
