A client had a problem. Earlier in the day everything was normal. During the day he performed "normal" operations. Then the system restarted. The Windows 10 seemed to get to the login page, however the network icon indicated the network was not working. When you attempt to type a password, it appears to work, but you cannot "enter" either with the enter key or the arrow. After a couple attempts the system reboots back to the login page. The off button no longer had options to restart, and did not shut down the system. My admin account had exactly the same issue.
Solution: rebooted in repair mode, and restored to earlier date. (I had to force it to the repair mode using the reset method).
Scanned the system, but could not find the culprit.
