Windows 10 Calendar - what should be a simple thing is now impossible

I have an error in a date of an event that is showing up. I think Windows 10 imported it from my old Hotmail calendar which I can't find anymore. But in the Windows 10 calendar app I can move my mouse to the event and a popup give me the option to edit series or edit event however it does not make any difference which I select it opens a window that does let me change some things but does not give me any way to edit the day it is scheduled for or delete it.
