Found this information today and thought I would pass it along.
The old command prompt window in the new version of Windows 10 has some new bits.
Under properties there is a new tab called "Experimental" and in there you can enable some extended capabilities including Ctrl + C and Ctrl +V which to some of us, of the more nerdy persuasion has been a long time coming.

I have on an occasion or two.
Sometimes I like to muck about with the background and text color as well as the width and length of the command prompt as it's displayed.

I keep forgetting about this feature...just customized it in 10. When I'm back in 8.1, I shall do the same.
