Hi
I purchased windows 10 pro from amazon. I ordered the CD version. I was sent a pendrive instead.
The seller told me CD versions were sold out and was given £20 refund. I accepted it.
I now need some advice on how to copy the pendrive to CD. I tried to copy it with several software. The problem is that the contents are showing 8gig plus. Even tried double sided, but still failed. Is there anyway I can copy it. The pendrive says its 4gig.
Thanks

Why would you want to copy that to CD or DVD? <- You will never fit Windows 10 on a CD

Use it as and boot from the USB as you would with from a Optical drive... If your computer is modern enough to install Windows 10, then you should be able to boot from USB.

Having said that....

You could make an ISO out of that pen drive and write that ISO to DVD with http://www.imgburn.com/ but this is also convoluted, because you can just Download the ISO for free using https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/avoiding-the-media-creation-tool.12754/ method.

All you need really is the KEY to register it which is where the money you paid makes good.

Please listen (I mean read) carefully:

The only thing you need to keep safe is the KEY to activate Windows 10 that came with that USB-pendrive, this is the only important thing you need.

If you really must burn the ISO (the simplest way is) use the method detailed in https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/avoiding-the-media-creation-tool.12754/ to grab the latest ISO's and burn them to DVD-Double layer.

At the moment you have 2 ISOS available, Window 10 Creators Update 1703 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update 1607.
Those ISOs are smaller and will fit easily in a 4.7GB DVD

So visit https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/avoiding-the-media-creation-tool download the isos, with the language and bitness you want and burn those.

As for copying that fob, the method is to create an ISO I already described, if the ISO is too big (you dont say how big it is either) then you need a bigger DVD -> try a Double layer DVD that can store up to 8.5GB

Out of curiosity;

How big is the ISO you created?
How much space can your DVD (you are trying to burn this to) take?

Ok I downloaded the windows 10 from Microsoft. I burned the iso ok, but it seems I have another problem. I put the dvd into my burner and booted it up. I got to the part where Install windows.
I get error message : Windows could not collect information for (Osimage) since the specified image file Install.Wim does not exist. Tried several times Any idea folks.

I just checked, if you used the method described in https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/avoiding-the-media-creation-tool and not the media tool, the ISOS have install.WIM files

If you used the Media Creation Tool then that has install.ESD

Read CAREFULLY what
https://www.windows10forums.com/threads/avoiding-the-media-creation-tool says, change the user agent on your browser or use your mobile phone (android/iphone) to download the ISO directly.

Bypass the Media Creation Tool.
