So what do guys think?

Do you think Win9 will based around DX12?

If so what improvements do you think will be added to DX12? I for one certainly hope Win9 takes advantage of DX##, Win8 certainly didn't. Not in the same regard as Win7 anyway, which is one of the biggest complaints I have with Win8. What is the point in having capabilities, if they are going to be eliminated (without choice) from the OS GUI?

I guess there's a strong possibility that DX12 will be released with Windows 9 (or perhaps Windows 9 exclusive), but I have a feeling that it will be released as a Windows 8 exclusive in an attempt to get people to upgrade. Not long until we find out a little bit more about DX12 - 20th March 2014 :).

There is no Windows 9. Microsoft skipped from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. DirectX 12 is supported on Windows 10 and later.
