Why is it that MS keeps churning out WD definition updates almost everyday ?
Can't they get something that can stay for a while ?
Is WD really that vulnerable that it needs to be updated constantly ?
Geez.

Frankly, I'm quite happy that Defender (signatures) is updated as often as it is.
I assume the new malicious code is propagated very often probably more often than daily.
To keep abreast of new and frequent attack vectors I believe that the signature database requires frequent updates.
It's been a while since I've used a commercial Antivirus product, but I would think that such programs also update often.
I know my Malwarebytes Premium updates often and possibly daily, although I don't monitor it very closely.

The previous version of Defender on W7 used to get updates even twice a day and Malwarebytes is every day or perhaps every other day as well. This is good.
