have an 2009 Biostar TA790GX-128M motherboard, AMD 790GX chipset, Athlon II X2-245 2.9Ghz dual-core, 4Gb ram, 128Gb SSD boot drive.
Was only able to get Win 10 Pro x64 to upgrade from Win 7 by using IDE mode instead of AHCI. Using AHCI gave the inaccessible boot device message. Tried enabling AHCI in the Win 10 registry after install, then enabling in BIOS, but same message. AMD released Win10 AHCI drivers on 7-29 so I would think those are already in Win 10.
Any thoughts on how to enable AHCI for this setup? Had no issues at all with AHCI on the 4 Intel systems I've upgraded to Win 10, even a 2006 Dell Optiplex 760.
