Apps won't open in Windows 10

Anytime I click on one of the apps to open pictures, maps etc. the screen will flash as though it's going to open then nothing. I'm at a loss. Please help

Start with the "Photos" app.
Click the Start Button -> Settings -> Apps & Features
Scroll down to photos
Click the Advanced link and choose Reset
See if that helps with that app.
