I'd like to make a bootable copy of my computer's current state. I have many videos, photos, documents that I don't need to backup with this operation in order to save space. Cloning I guess does all files. Is there a way to do such a bootable backup with only the programs, registry and all needed to boot from?

thanks.

There is a way if you have your personal files on a separate drive, then you can clone the main drive and have a mirror image of the original drive.
I personally have on my boot drive only my system with all the programs. My files are on a second drive (even in my laptops, do not need a ODD in there anyway)....
