Black screen after hibernation (still the same old story)

The problem may be familiar to many of you: You return to your PC from hibernation with a warm reboot and see ... nothing. That is, nothing but a mouse cursor on a black screen. And no key combination would change that. (It seems to help if you manage to switch the user - for whatever reason.)

Online search shows that this problem has already been reported by many users to MS in summer 2015, with MS red-faced recommending that we should all shut off the hibernation mode, and that this was all they could offer for the moment. But now it is winter 2016/2017, and I cannot believe that they still haven't come up with anything better!

Hey, guys, how is it that with your allegedly grand design of Win10, so many essential basic functions cannot be used any more that have been flawless for DECADES?

I found some MS website that recommended using WIN-key+P on the black screen to switch the active monitor. Strangely, this works on the login screen but not on the desktop.

Windows 10 is still the worst Windows version ever.
