So I got a S.T.A.R.T error ... backup and replace drive:M(this is my Media drive. all my saved media)
After booting I did a checkdisk that ran for 9 hours, when I returned to my pc it said 2 days to complete. so being to impatient for that I decided to cancel the checkdisk. and guess what... that sat for an hour. So I did a hard shutdown.
Rebooted and boot starts and begins to scan and repair drive M. for undetermined time. again lack of patience.
Shutdown, disconnected drive M. Rebooted. All is fine. obviously I need to backup and replace drive M.
but if I reconnect the drive, Boot gets stuck on scan and repair. I need to access this drive to copy and save my favorite media.
Anyway to stop the autorepair or reset it? or any other resolve?
