Browsers not rendering font correctly

I am using a Toshiba P50t and running windows 10. I have microsoft edge and Torch as my browsers. Of late both browsers have developed a font rendering problem hence its not displaying it correctly. When I copy the text-as shown on the screen shot below-onto note pad, it renders just fine.Face Book screen shot

I have read online, and found suggestions of deactivating hardware acceleration, which did not help. I am using GeForce GTX 950M Graphics card. I have seen suggestions of font corruption which by my assessment all my fonts are fine and this problem just started five days ago, before it was fine. I have also ensured my browsers are up to date and the encoding on the browser is set to auto detect. Any suggestions would be welcome.
