I have a Dell Studio Laptop with Windows 10 which is up to date (Latest KB4040724). The Webcam shows a black screen with framing square - but no image but it takes photos and videos OK. The drivers are up to date and the Webcam - which I seldom use - was working and showing an image up to August this year. I have heard that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is the culprit. Is there a fix for this problem?

check out Dell for new(er) drivers, that is where I would start first!:

Thanks for help. Unfortunately the Dell site only supports systems up to Vista - so no luck there. Windows 10 says the best drivers are already installed.

What about screen resolution?, have you made any changes there that might be the culprit?.
