Can you roll back to Windows 8.1 more than once.

I upgraded to win 10 pro 64 bit last August. Loved the operating system, a definite improvement to 8.1. Unfortunately I had problems with the audio not working, especially with Adobe Premier Pro . Tried all the usual updating drivers etc but after 2 weeks decided to go back to win 8.1. I understand there have been some major updates since and feel it is time to test the waters again.
What I really need to know is can I go back again if I still get problems. I get the 30 days bit ( that and "How to" is all I get if I google the question ) but are you actually allowed to go back more than once ?

This is my personal view only!
The rollback feature, is very dependent on the "Windows.old" folder. It also needs the other two folders , $Windows.~BT, and $Windows.~WS

These are automatically removed, at the end of the expiry period (one month)
As far as I can ascertain, whilst these folders exist, you are in business..
Reverting back, means that you start again with the upgrade, and your previous OS key is, once again, valid. On completion of the upgrade, those folders are, once again, in place and good for yet another, fresh, month.
So, until July, you can go through the procedure as often as you feel.

An added point here is, that as soon as you have completed the upgrade, you can rename or move those three folders. Even after one month, by replacing or restoring the original names, you can still have the chance to go back

I have no need, myself, to test this theory, and it may not work. The Microsoft Dbase may be recording the original date on their own servers.

Once you have upgraded, you should have a digital signature associated with that machine. I do not know what may or may not alter that signature on Microsoft's servers. But you should be able to do a clean install of Windows 10 and have it activate, possibly on a new hard drive which would not require overwriting the original drive.

If your not sure if you will like Windows 10 (millions do not) best is to always make a full restorable Image or your
Windows xp or 7 or 8 or 8.1 then you can always go back...

After the upgrade Windows10, if you do not like it, you can go back and choose to downgrade it to windows 7, but Microsoft has mentioned that the Rollback operating is available for a month only, after which, the files required for this operation, will be deleted. That means, during this time, if you do not deleted the $Windows.~BT and $Windows.~WS folders required by the system to perform the rollback operation. Of course, you can choose to back windows 10 again.

XP isn't in the running for W10 unless its possible to upgrade to 7 or 8 or 8.1 beforehand.

PS: also on some upgrades - updates if (due to a miss load) if you have upgraded in less that 30 days, MS added a flag and you are not allowed to upgrade, so to solve use the Properties ->disk clean -> make sure you remove all old
which includes ~Windows.~BT and ~BS folders.. then reboot 2 times, that resets the flag and most get the upgrade
then. many also use the MediaCreationTool to DL the latest offered full.iso

Ha Ha, yes threads do go off on tangents. At least no one told me to change over to apple.
Well took the plunge yesterday and so far no problems with audio for premiere pro and Cubase. Have saved $Windows.~BT, and $Windows.~WS to an external drive and fingers crossed. Thanks for all the replies.
