Cannot install UWP app - invalid value for registry

I have been installing apps I create for Windows 10 without any problems until yesterday, when on attempting an install I got message "Invalid value for registry". Tried the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter and also WSReset.exe. Nothing cures the problem. Any ideas?

You might want to try a System Restore, to a restore point prior to "yesterday".
System Restore usually does a pretty good job of addressing registry and even some driver issues that see to come out of nowhere
