What happens if you specify a drive on the NAS. A drive that has been made shareable or has permissions allowing anyone to do anything. SO \\192.168.1.111\ mynasdrive. My ancient DLink NAS prefers that and it likes each separate user to have a distinct login to the NAS

I have 2 NAS drives connected via Ethernet cable to my Router, show in Network in File Manager. I Map the Public Folder on each drive and can do it both with Wired computers and Wireless/Wi-Fi computers which can also reach the Internet and the 2 connected printers.
