SOLVED Can't find CD/DVD drives to create system repair disc

One read-only DVD that will write CD's. Other drive is read/write CD's & DVD's. When trying to create a system repair disc, message says no cd/dvd drives found. ??? Thanks.

Are you seeing either or both of your optical drives in
1. Device manager?
2. Disk management?

The ROM drive shows up in Disk & Device managers. The write-able drive does not show up in either.

I last posted that the fix you recommended did not work. After a bit, a light bulb came on in my head The command I ran was REGEDIT, which modified the registry. I needed to reboot. When it came back up the problem was fixed! Thank you so much!

Yes it does require a reboot. I should have mentioned that in my post. Sorry.....
