Can't right click on desktop files/folders without screen refresh?

Hi there,

I can't seem to be able to bring up the menu when right clicking on a file or folder on my desktop without the whole thing refreshing on me. This seems to have started after the large windows 10 update I installed a couple of days ago.

Does anybody have any ideas on what might be the problem and how I can fix it?
