SOLVED Changing the desktop folder

All items on the desktop are in my user OneDrive\Desktop folder. This also includes any new item I create on the desktop via the right-click New menu item also being placed in the OneDrive\Desktop folder. I would like to change the folder in which all new items in the desktop will be subsequently placed in lieu of permanently removing the OneDrive folder, since I have already deleted the "Microsoft OneDrive" application.

How do i change the folder into which newly created desktop items are put ?

You can create another folder under most any name somewhere under your user account and then go to the current desktop folder file, right click it, choose Properties, Location tab, and then Move the location of the Desktop folder to wherever else you want it to be.
