Child windows, Coversion box confusion

Hi,
I don't know what happened, but when I try to view or print bank or other statements, it takes me to a child window (Internet Explorer), then when I open it I get the conversion box. For some reason they open in Word or Excel.

I can print out some pages with text but nothing with numbers etc., all I get is solid black ink print.

I have no idea what is going on but could really use some help.

It sounds to me like your bank site's forms are the issue. There may be some form of security measure going on.

I download my statements in PDF form, then print the PDF to avoid the blacked out form fields.

You may want to check also, via Device Manager, that Microsoft have not snuck it a driver update on your printer that may be causing the issue.
