I am a Senior that needs a helping hand.
Have not found any answer to my problems.

I have the downloaded version of Window 10
How do I find the description of what my installed Window 10 is called?

What is more, is that my Taskbar is overflowing with Icons.

In setting "combine Icons when taskbar is full"

does not work.

Can anyone please help me out, it would be a big help and much appreciated.

Respectfully,

There are at least 3 ways to find out which Windows 10 version you have.
Here is one I chose.....
At the taskbar, click the File Explorer
file explorer.jpg

When it opens, at the top, click System Properties > under Windows Edition, it tells you which version you have.

What is more, is that my Taskbar is overflowing with Icons.

A seemingly silly question. When you selected " combine icons " did you clicked OK to activate the option ?

On your first question
Right click on the four squares in the bottom left hand corner
A list will appear scroll up until you see
Systems
Click that and what version windows 10 you have will appear
Then in blue will be
View basic information about your computer
That is where you will find it
Mine is Windows 10 Home

Or if you want more fuller information google Belarc
Download it
Let it run
just follow the yes/ no
it will take about 10 mins to run
once finished it will open up ad let you know the full history of what you have on your system
Also tell you if you are missing any updates

On your other problem I will look around and see what I can find and get back to you

!. You can also right click the start icon and, in run, type Winver., which will also tell you which build you have
2. Try Settings - Notifications and icons, and "Select which icons appear on the taskbar"

But, on thinking. Maybe a snapshot of your taskbar could put us more in the picture? It is not common to get to a state where it is overflowing.

What is more, is that my Taskbar is overflowing with Icons.

In setting "combine Icons when taskbar is full"

does not work.

Instead of selecting "Combine icons when taskbar is full ", suggest you select "Always combine, hide labels" > click OK after selecting.
See if that makes a difference.

No feedback, yet, from the OP. But, maybe your searck bar is clogging up the taskbar.

Right click the taskbar - Select "search".
Select hidden or "Show search icon."

Would you mind doing 2 things ?

1. Please mark this thread as Solved so that others having the same question will know there is an answer in this thread.

2. If you don't mind, please point out which suggestion is best suited to what you want ?
That way, others with the same question will know which suggestion is to try first.

Thank you.

Dear hTconeM9user, dear davidhk129, dear davehc,,

I like to let you all know, that each one of you helped me find my way around
and made things work for me.
Though I know it is probably me having to many icons that things do not work out as I would like them to be.
In former window one could group 3 icons together, therefore shrinking things on the taskbar.

My sincerest thank you to all of you.
