CORRUPT WINDOWS 10 REGISTRY

Please does anyone know how to correct the error message: The configuration registry database is corrupt, Error code 0x800703F1.

I get the message when I try to install dotnetfx35setup which is supposed to help me install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Please help out!

Perhaps give this article a read.
There are some suggestions and workarounds including an offline installer.
