Cortana microphone setup wizard crashes

My Cortana suddenly stopped responding to my voice about a week ago when I press the microphone icon. It shows the small circle as if it wants to hear but does not respond. I try to configure microphone but the wizard crashes. If I just say"Hey Cortana" it opens up and prompts with the small circle for me to speak but still does not hear me. The microphone works as I checked it in control panel. It works in Skype and other programs too. I even tried switching microphones all with same results. If it responds to "Hey Cortana" apparently the microphone works but something in Cortana itself will not let it listen any further. Running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 1607 14393.105
