Just pondering this morning, with all of the upgrades/cumulative updates and clandestine updates since the July 29 release, would it be advisable to defrag my system to organize the chaos that I'm sure MS has wreaked on files on top of files on top of files?..or do all or any of you think it's necessary?

I don't think there's much need to defrag PCs there days (IMO), as Windows 10 does a pretty good job of managing things. By default, the defrag app will run weekly to optimise drives (including trimming, rather than defragging on SSDs).

There's no harm in running it manually, but it's certainly not necessary :).

Thank you Ian,I never like rocking the boat..maybe I'll "analyze" with defrag and see how much or little things are discombobulated and take it from there. Thanks again.
